Lately...

First of all, since I haven't mentioned it yet, Kansas City back in January was AMAZING! Spending time with my favorite people and eating some of the best food I've ever had...does it get any better?! Actually, it does! Spring Break anyone?! :-P KC really got me pumped about spring break this year and I can't wait for everyone to come and visit our new home!

I guess that's really the biggest thing that's happened around here lately. Kevin started teaching again this semester and is now tackling 3 classes on Tues and Thurs as well as getting his dissertation finished up. It's going to be a busy semester! We will get to make a trip to Fayetteville during the first part of the summer so Kevin can defend and become...wait for it...DR. Henderson. :-) Yay! I can't decide if I'm more excited about his PhD or finally getting to eat good Mexican food...does that make me a bad wife?

It's still snowing on and off here. I thought we were done with it all, but it was just a tease. I told some of the girls at work that I thought we wouldn't get any more...they laughed at me. Apparently, we can get our final snow of the year as late as April. Yep. April. *sigh* Sue sent us a cute, and very appropriate, email recently:

I hope everyone had a great start to their semester!

Much love!!

Oh, Kevin... :-)

Kevin and I were driving to get dinner on New Year's Eve when we saw a lone hockey player practicing in a hockey rink just off the side of the road. It's the first time I've ever seen anyone actually playing hockey here and I laughed a little to myself and made a comment to Kevin about it.

Vicky: "I can't believe people can practice hockey outside where we live. It's crazy!"

Kevin: "Yeah. You know...hockey is a really great winter sport because you wear all that padding and can stay warm." pause "Well...and I guess because of the ice."

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Oh, I love my husband.

Wishing you all a Happy New Year! I hope your 2010 is everything you want it to be and more!

Much love!!
